Technical Support Specialist 

At CSSI you will be one of the first people our customers will talk to when they have an issue. The ideal person is someone who likes talking to customers, working with computers, and problem solving. This is an awesome position for a person who would like to work remotely. This is a 3 month temp to hire position.  At the end of the 3 month contract you will be eligible to be hired on permanently. Our normal hours of operation are from 8-5:30 Monday through Friday.

 Responsibilities include:

  • Receive and respond to client incoming telephone calls utilizing standard customer service skills.
  • Undertake initial diagnostics of incident or received service request, use available tools.
  • Accurately record and classify all incoming incidents with the appropriate priority, category and
    incident summary details.
  • Follow all Service Desk processes and work instructions regarding the handling of all customers
    and incidents.
  • Proactively flag incidents where no knowledge solution is found.
  • Escalate issues in a timely manner when not able to resolve at the desk.
  • Create presentations, emails, and update documentation.
  • Convert user Manual to new template and validate content.

 Ideal Candidates have:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Office
  • Professional telephone etiquette.
  • Basic experience in Windows NT/2000/XP, MS based applications.
  • Basic IT technical support experience.
  • Basic knowledge of the Command Prompt
  • Flexible, well-motivated team player, ability to work under pressure.
  • Willingness to learn a new program
  • Ability to work independently

 Minimum Required: 

  • Associates Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or closely related field
  • 3 years of experience in technical or Help Desk support
